Durham Scratch Choir sing at the Durham Fringe Festival 2024

Saturday 27th July 2024

Durham Fringe is a grassroots organisation made up of local people, working alongside local businesses, looking to grow a collective dream of our own fringe festival in Durham City. 2024 will be our fourth year, and we cannot wait to welcome artists and audiences to the city once more.

This year we performed in the stretch tent on Palace Green to a full audience and to be honest I think it was our best performance of the year. Although I cannot comment on the second performance at Beamish as I couldn't take part but if the videos are anything to go by then maybe it was our best this year.

The song list was a little shorter than at Wednesday's performance at Scariston Old Church but all of our favourite's were included.

Songs :

1

Three Little Birds

2

You've got a friend

3

Harbour

4

I wish I knew how it would feel to be free

5

Just a little rain

6

Moving forward

7

Diamonds and gold

8

Only remembered

9

Picture in a frame

10

Who'll rock the cradle

11

Welcome table

12

Joropo

Here are a few songs that we sang all professionally recorded (at least it looks like it) by Jeanette Bettison.
